’89 School Shooting Survivor: ‘It Gets Better’


A survivor of an elementary school shooting in 1989 wants families in Newtown to know healing is possible. As a first grader, Robert Young was one of 30 people injured in a shooting in Stockton, California which killed five of his classmates. (Dec. 19)

School Safety Partners is dedicated to creating long-term funding partnerships to support school safety best practices. We are both a community of interest and a facilitator of joint research projects, reaching out to the general public as well as stakeholders in the public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors.
